Plastic Coated Stainless Steel Cable is a strong, general purpose wire rope that is commonly used in maritime, industrial, commercial, and other high-friction and heavy-duty applications where corrosion resistance is necessary. The marine-grade Stainless Steel wires will not rust and are resilient to caustic environments that would otherwise degrade a galvanized finish.
- 7 strands composed of 19 filler wires provide this cable with strength and flexibility.
The clear plastic vinyl coating on this wire rope provides additional resistance to abrasion and friction as well as protection from corrosion, UV, water, and debris. This protective layer adds to the longevity of the cable. Always inspect for cracked or brittle coating, frayed wires, or abrasions, and replace your cable if any damage is noticed.
