6×19 Stainless Steel Wire Rope – IWRC
For cable larger than 3/8″, it becomes our 6×19 IWRC (Independent Wire Rope Core).
Instead of having the same construction as the outer strands, the core is now a 7×7 cable.
6×19 Class IWRC: 6 strands consisting of 19 wires around a 7×7 core.
Improved plow steel. Right hand, regular lay. Stainless steel type 304.
Meets federal specification RR-W-410 (as revised).
6×19 stainless steel wire rope is a classification of cable often referred to as 6×25 or SSAC (Stainless Steel Aircraft Cable). Mainly used around salt water and marine environments where corrosion is most likely will occur. Type 304 stainless cable is resistant to rust, corrosion, & moisture. Strong & durable, this rope is also quite flexible. Stainless is commonly used in the food processing industry because of it’s anti-bacterial properties.
