9/16 inch 6×37 FC wire rope is a classification of cable often referred to as 6×36 construction. A general purpose preformed cable known for it’s superior flexibility & strength. This cable is more flexible around pulleys, drums & winches than a similar size wire center core. More flexible, but not as abrasion resistant as a 6×19 or 6×25 construction fiber core center.
Center fiber core strand is either a polypropylene or natural fiber rope which allows A-1 lubrication to store & permeate the outer cables. The drawback is less strength & internal crushing of fiber cores compared to wire center cores.
6×37 Class Fiber Core Cable Best Suited For:
- Pulleys
- Winches
- Sheaves & Drums
- Hoisting Lines
- Cranes
- Logging or General Construction Applications
Only use compatible rated fittings with this cable (clips, thimbles, shackles, etc.). Strict breaking-in procedure & proper handling during use are extremely important. Inspect carefully & diligently. Wire rope must be inspected before & after use by a competent person(s).
